Cancellation Policy

Dear Guest, You have made a reservation for a stay at Hotel Hof van Gelre. We are delighted that you want to be our guest. Therefore, it is important that we communicate certain things clearly with each other. If you need to cancel the reservation for any reason, the General Terms and Conditions for the Hotel and Catering Industry (Uniforme Voorwaarden Horeca, UVH) apply to individual reservations for up to 6 persons/3 rooms.

The following options are based on this (see www.khn.nl/uvh-nl). With your reservation, you have entered into a contract that cannot be canceled free of charge. After making your reservation, you no longer have a right of withdrawal. As compensation, we offer you the following possibilities:

OPTION 1 - DEFINITIVE CANCELLATION:
• You want to cancel the reservation and will receive an invoice for the cancellation costs via email. In most cases, you can cover these costs with your travel/cancellation insurance.
• The cancellation costs depend on the timing of the cancellation compared to the arrival date. Free cancellation is possible up to 14 days before arrival. Within this period, costs will apply for cancellations.

OPTION 2 - RESCHEDULE TO A NEW DATE:
• If you cancel between 7 and 13 days before the arrival date, we can directly reschedule the room reservation to a new date upon your request. You must immediately inform us of the new arrival date. You will receive the new reservation confirmation by email with a modification fee of €10.00. No additional costs will be incurred for this change.
• It is possible that the pricing for the new date may be different, which will be taken into account in the new confirmation. Within 7 days before arrival, you can no longer reschedule the reservation free of charge. In this case, the UVH conditions apply again.

OPTION 3 - RESCHEDULE TO AN INDEFINITE DATE:
• You actually want to choose Option 2 but cannot provide a definite new date yet. In this case, we will send you an invoice for the cancellation costs of your stay. Once you have paid this invoice, you will receive a partial refund if you make a new reservation within half a year from the original reservation date. However, this is not possible on holidays, and the dates must always be agreed upon in advance. • More than 3 months before the start of the reservation: 0%
• More than 2 months: 15%
• More than 1 month: 35%
• More than 14 days: 60%
• More than 7 days: 85%
• 7 days or less: 100% The mentioned percentage will be calculated based on the value of the reservation.
